| From the Executive Director (Robert Donald) | | | The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for Civil Aviation. Canada, is one of the 190 Contracting States that are members of ICAO. In March, ICAO sponsored a symposium at its headquarters in Montreal, the topic of which was “Next Generation of Aviation Professionals” (NGAP). Its focus was on the significant projected shortages of aviation professionals worldwide and how the industry should address this critical issue.
