February 22: Winterlude Ottawa, ON Thrill to the sights and sounds of more than 50 aircraft, as they celebrate a milestone in Canada’s heritage: the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Canada and the British Empire, by flying the length of the canal and other Winterlude sites.

February 23: National Aviation Day The Government of Canada has declared February 23rd as National Aviation Day, the same day the Silver Dart flew 100 years ago. Visit the Baddeck 2009 Flight of the Silver Dart Centennial Celebration website for a list of Aviation Day activities.
February 23 - September 12/13 Cross Country Relay Back to Baddeck Cross-Canada Relay. The "Back to Baddeck" vintage aircraft relay flight project is presented by the Canadian Aeronautical Preservation Association (CAPA), celebrating 100 years of Canadian aviation achievements, celebrating the wide variety of aircraft involved and aviation's national impact.
