The Executive Director is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Council’s Strategic Plan, and the day-to-day management of the Ottawa-based CAMC Secretariat. The ideal candidate must have several years of management experience, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry. The successful candidate will possess a sound appreciation of the issues facing the industry, strong leadership qualities, financial and administrative management strength, and superior interpersonal and communication skills. The energetic and enthusiastic candidate must be able to deal effectively with diverse stakeholders, be diplomatic and consultative, and be able to reconcile the divergent priorities of the various stakeholder communities. The candidate must have a strong professional presence, resourcefulness and credibility. He or she must also be innovative, resourceful, a self-starter and, ideally, fluent in both English and French.
