| Solicitation for Expression of Interest for Labour Market Information Report Writing Project | | | The Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC) is soliciting input from interested parties who would like to participate in the creation of written reports in relation to CAMC’s Aviation, Aerospace and Space Labour Market Information System (LMIS). CAMC has recently completed the build of a Labour Market Information System database, which was built with the input from many aviation and aerospace stakeholders. CAMC plans to use the collected LMI data to develop individual LMI reports, as well as to publish an annual consolidated LMI report. 1. PurposeThe Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC) is soliciting input from interested parties who would like to participate in the creation of written reports in relation to CAMC’s Aviation, Aerospace and Space Labour Market Information System (LMIS). Included below are specific details regarding the necessary requirements that must be met (item #3). Organizations or individuals who meet the mandatory requirements (item #4) to participate are invited to indicate their interest by September 19, 2008 by replying to the undersigned. 2. Background The LMIS is designed to record, consolidate and sort data in order to generate reports on important topics such as human-resource demographics, trends, and supply-and-demand realities. The LMIS consists of labour market data from aviation companies and MRO’s, aerospace and manufacturing companies, and training organizations. The industry-requested system depends on industry stakeholders to provide current information. CAMC provides the technology, the project management and a secure web-based “data warehouse”. The LMIS database is built and is being populated. The chosen consultant will need to collect report data and consolidate it into a written report with supporting graphics.3. Scope of Required Input The work required involves, but is not limited to, the following:- Review the data collection methodology
- Summarize the LMIS reports together in order to create a complete LMI overview
- Review the complete data set which has been collected by the LMIS as well as the 15 individual reports produced
- Analyze the initial reports/data and produce a preliminary written national report with supporting graphics
- Provide one update of the initial report, to include additional data collected and to summarize national and regional information into a concise report
- Comment on which sub-sectors and regions provided data
4. Mandatory Requirements Each potential interested organization or individual must posses the following requirements:- Economist, with supporting education
- Substantial experience in detailed economic analysis
- Strong writing and reporting skills
- Qualifications in labour market analysis
