The Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC) and the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC) recently partnered in a national review of the forty-five key recommendations identified in the 2001 Human Resource Study of Commercial Pilots in Canada.

The objective of the project was to conduct a comprehensive review of the original recommendations of the Commercial Pilot’s sector study and to produce industry–validated recommendations and priorities through focus groups consisting of industry, flight training units and colleges.

Eleven key recommendations identified included industry standards, safety, pilot training, quality assurance and human resource issues.
